It is with great pleasure that I write to you about Bob driving the Upper Marlboro Young Marines to and from Parris Island, South Carolina from August 2 to 7, 2010. From my initial steps on the bus I knew this trip would be more than enjoyable as Bob greeted me with a warm smile and a firm hand shake. He immediately gave me a tour of the bus and I was impressed how well it was maintained and excited about the on board DVD system to keep the children occuppied during the trip. I told Bob that I had some movies and he told me he had some as well, then proceeded to allow me to look through his impressive stack of movies that was catered to children.

Over the past five years with the Young Marines we have taken many trips, but Bob was the only driver that came prepared to meet our needs. He went over the schedule with me to ensure that our plans met with his itinerary. Bob provided a class to the older children on the proper method of loading items underneath the bus, another first for me. He greeted the staff and many of the parents, I know that made them more comfortable sending their children to South Carolina.

Bob ensured all four staff members had his cell phone, if we needed him. Several times a day during the trip Bob would check with members of my staff as well as myself to see if he can assist in any way. The most impressive thing about Bob is how he mentored to the children, helping them to improve in mental and physical fitness throughout the grueling week of training with U. S. Marine Corps Drill Instructors. At the beginning (5:30 am) and end of each training day ( 9:00 pm), Bob was present to help our short handed staff without us requesting his assistance. Bob's effort surely helped us succeed in our mission of providing the best training to our Young Marines whether in doors or out in the blazing South Carolina heat.

On future trips with your company, we desire for Bob to be our bus driver. His can do attitude shows in everything he does. He is surely an example of an exemplary bus driver, but more important an outstanding citizen and role model for all to emulate.

Bob, congratulations on a job well done and thank you for making the Upper Marlboro Young Marines trip to Parris Island a sucess.
